There's no doubt that Zoom is one of the best video conferencing tools out there. Unfortunately, you can't use it to monetize an online event. If you need to sell online tickets to your conferences, seminars, or workshops, I will show you the best way to do it.

Before you begin, be sure to create a free account or log in.

STEP 1: SET YOUR ZOOM ACCOUNT

  1. Log in to Zoom

πŸ“ŒNote - In order to use the live streaming feature, you need to have a Pro, Business, Education, or Enterprise account.

2. From the Admin section go to πŸ””Account Management -> Account Settings

3. Scroll to In Meeting (Advanced) and with the toggle enable πŸ“’ Allow live streaming the meetings.

4. Go to Host a meeting and choose one of the options

5. Once you have clicked on one of the options, the system will redirect you to the Zoom app and you will be prompted to start the meeting.

6.Click on πŸ”… More -> 🎬 Live on Custom Live Streaming Service

7. You will be redirected to your Zoom account where you will be prompted to fill in your πŸ”— Streaming URL, πŸ”‘ Streaming key and πŸ’» Live Streaming Page URL.

STEP 2: SET YOUR LIVE EVENT WITH PAYMENT OPTIONS AND GET YOUR RTMP URL AND STREAMING KEY

8. Go to StreamingVideoProvider and create a πŸ”Ÿ Playlist and a 🎬 Live Event.

10. Click on πŸ”˜ Live Studio on your 🎬 Live Event.

11. Copy your RTMP URL and Streaming Key

STEP 3: CONNECT YOUR SVP LIVE EVENT AND ZOOM MEETING

12. Go back to Zoom and paste the needed information

13. Click βœ… Go Live!

STEP 4: PUBLISH TO YOUR WEBSITE

14. Go back to your 🎬 Live Event on SVP

15. Select πŸ“Ή Player for Type and copy the πŸ”— Embedded code

16. Go to your website admin panel and paste the πŸ”— Embedded code in your destination page.

17. Click βœ… Save.

18. Save the changes to your page and you will see your Zoom live event.

πŸ› οΈ ADVANCED OPTIONS

  1. Use Sold Tickets Management in case you wish to modify already sold PPV passwords.
  2. Add Advanced Password Protection, e.g. if you want to grant free access to specific users.
  3. Use Password Management to modify generated passwords.
